About Kume Spa
Kume Spa offers a wide range of massage therapy styles specializing in Body Mapping, Foot Reflexology, Body Scrubs and Tea Soaks where each session is tailored to the clients needs. We are a community spa that can accommodate both large and small groups in a relaxing atmosphere. We are proud to sell unique products supporting local small businesses, exp female entrepreneurs in our spa gift shop. We are located in the lower hills of Oakland on Grand Ave walking distance from Lake Marriott, Lake View Library, some of the best restaurants in the east bay, shops and the beautiful Grand Lake Theater.
About the Position
Kume Spa is looking for full and part time Spa Associates. Ideal candidates are upbeat/friendly love working with people of multi culture, have worked in customer service industry, have excellent communications skill (verbal and written). Can follow instructions, multi-task alone or with others.

Job Requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Membership and package sales
- Basic math skills to balance register
- Positive attitude and self-starter mentality
- Online booking system/payment processing
- Maintain a clean working space/environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and late nights a plus
- Excellent communication skills—phone, email, and in-person
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with clients and management
- Pay rate: $16–$18 per hour depending on experience, plus tips and commission
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Your appointment is very important to the team members of Kume Spa, it is reserved especially for you, we understand that sometimes schedules adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations will be subject to a fee of 50% of your scheduled treatment.
COVID-19 is a foreseen event and we require proof of a positive result 24 hours prior to your appointment to receive any sort of refund or make changes.
Missed Appointments or “No-Shows” will be charged the full amount of the original service booked. Late arrival may limit our ability to offer the fullest possible experience. Please be aware that late arrivals will not be afforded extension of scheduled treatments. Treatments will be rendered only for the remainder of the scheduled appointment and you will be responsible for payment for the full service.

Kume Spa always welcomes any and all walk-ins upon availability.
To secure your requested spa time and treatments, we recommend you schedule an appointment in advance due to the popularity of the services. Credit card details are required for booking.
If you will be attending the spa with a voucher, it is a good idea to mention it so that the spa can advise you of any policy that may affect its use.
